March 2021 Meeting

Marlene Forrest was the MC for the occasion and the arrival music played by Rob Powell.
Program:
Rob (clavinova) and Barbara Powell (keyboard) dueted with 'Frenesi', 'You Do Something To Me' and 'South of The Border'
Diana Dreaneen on keyboard with 'San Antonia Rose', 'Puppet On a String' and the theme from 'Love Story'
Dorothy Waddell and Patricia Chandler with piano duets 'Thunder and Lightning', 'Black and White Rag' and 'Bacio'
Guest vocalist Cassandra McCowan performed 'Don't Cry for me Argentina', 'Pretty Girl', 'Cabaret' and several others from musicals she has performed in. Cassandra left NZ seven years ago to perform in musical theatre and has toured world wide. In April she will perform here in "Jersey Boys".

Our guest for the second half was pianist and teacher Sandy Lynch who played several of her own compositions. One in particular was dedicated to Marlene for her many years of service to the club. An outstanding example of her talent was when she played 'Rustle of Spring' to everyone's delight.
