21st Birthday of the Creative Keyboard Club

21st Birthday of the Creative Keyboard Club

What a  great afternoon on Sunday 11th March. We had an amazing crowd with lots of people from past years coming along for the celebration of 21 years.
The Waiheke Island Club were our guests for the afternoon along with Peter and Joyce Torckler from Whangarei.

Barbara McNab,Pam Rea, Peter Torckler, Janice Bates and Marlene Forrest made up the very first committee

It was lovely to have you all there.

The afternooon got off to a very nice start with Jimmy Pupin playing some very nice arrival music.  Colin Crann was our first entertainer for the afternoon followed by  Waiheke Islands own Madge Redwood

Peter Littlejohn was next followed by Ann Sutton and David from Waiheke. David played our EL 90 Organ and sang a couple of Beatles numbers.

The last part of the first half of the afternoon Peter Torkler  spoke on how the club was first formed back in 1991 and what the club had done in the last 21 years. This will all be available in the next Newsletter that will be published here early April.

Marlene our current President then cut the Birthday Cake with Peter's help. Congratulations Creative Keyboard  Club!

Peter then play two numbers on the Clavinova which were enjoyed very much by the audience. We wish we could hear more Peter!

Our second half got under way with nice performance from Barbara and Rob Powell, as always well enjoyed.
Brenda Long took the stage next followed by Taka Ilido on his D Deck organ. Pat Fisher finished the afternoon and as time allowed Dave Hallam played " Georgia" much to everyones delight.

After a great afternoon it was time to depart for the Bus Centre and Ferry back to Waiheke.
