Creative Keyboard Club August 2012

Our afternoon got off to a good start with Jimmy Puppyn  playing the arrival music. Great job done Jimmy

The Club is very proud of Jimmy and her great music talents. She has recently had a big birthday and puts a lot of effort into her playing which certainly pays off. Keep it going Jimmy!!!

Our first  entertainer on our list for the afternoon was Sylvia Joseph and she Played " Maggi" and "Il Silenzio"

Colin Crane came next with "Etude Opus 10 No 3" - Chopin in Jazz Mode!

His next was "Rubensteins Melody in F" as a Beguine!!

These were very well executed Colin and enjoyed by everyone.

Marlene Forrest followed Colin on her Tyros 4  with two lovely pieces "The Breeze and I" and "Patricia"

Marlene was a mass of pages all joined together.  Here she is studying her USB ready to go!

Pam Rea gave us two really pretty pieces on her Korg keyboard. "Softly as a Morning Sunrise" and "Blue Danube". I really enjoyed the "Blue Danube" as it is not often played at the Club. Thanks Pam.

Barbara McNab played next on the Tyros 4.  She played "Witchcraft" and "East of the Sun and West of the Moon"

Alan Dadson Played last for the first part of our afternoon and gave us a great performance of " The Wedding of the Painted Doll" and " Copacabana"

After a nice afternoon tea and a good chat Dorothy Waddell introduced her guests for the afternoon. They came to us from Evelyn Page Retirement Village - "Pagentry Performers", Choirmaster is Julia Bissett.  Alan Hall also a member for the Choir read a Monologue which was very entertaining indeed. Dorothy in her wonderful way played the piano for them.

Well done to you all at short notice. They Choir sang songs from around the World and had costumes to match.

This ended a very nice afternoon. Thanks to all performers.
