Creative Keyboard Club October 2012

Our Afternoon started with Diana Drineen playing the Arrival music. Thanks Diana you did this very well.

First up was Colin Crann with " Lullaby of Birdland" and "Blame it on the Bossa Nova" on Piano. We really enjoyed your performance Colin, thank you.

Next up was our own Jimmy Puppyn who has just had a big 90th birthday!  Jimmy plays just so beautifully and is always willing to do this for us. Jimmy played "Imirata" and "Diamonds are a girls Best Friend"

Tony Saxton played two very Classical pieces on the Clavinova Piano. Well done Tony.

Then is was the turn of Mrs President Marlene.
Marlene played two popular pieces, " Summertime" and "Desafinado"

Denise Gunson played "I Left My Heart in San Francisco" and " You Made me Love You".  As always most enjoyed thank you Denise.

Last but not least for the first half Barbara McNab played on the Tyros 4 "Tonight" and "Surfng USA"

After afternoon Tea we had the pleasure of Mr Dave Hallam who stepped in after our Invited Guest Artist had an accidental fall and was unable to play the Piano. Dave is always popular so this was not a problem. Dave put up a great programme which held the attention for the whole time he played. Great one Dave. Some of the pieces played were " Swingin' Shepherd Blues",  "Thats a Plenty", "Invercargill March" and many others.

Next month we have the pleasure of Mr Chris Larking. So do come along and enjoy an afternoon with us!
