April 2011 Club Day

The afternoon got under way with Barbara McNab playing the Arrival Music on her Tyros 3.

The first 20 minutes was taken up with the AGM which raised no problems and the committee remained for another year.

As is normal on an AGM day we did not have a guest artist, and club members entertained for the afternoon. And a very good afternoon’s entertainment it was!

First up was Colin Crann with “ Ain’t Misbehaving’ and “ For All We Know”
Next came Desire Barrows playing “Prelude” and “ Red Roses for a Blue Lady’
Jimmy Puppyn on Keyboard gave us “ I Talk to the Trees “ and “Wondering Star”
Robin Brown on Piano gave us “ Endless Love’ and “ Are You Lonesome Tonight”
Dave Hallam then played an arrangement by Robin Brown called “Gifts of Hope” this was really enjoyed. Thanks Robin and Dave.
Allan Powell then entertained with “ Grandfathers Clock” and “ Traveling Light”
Barbara McNab on Keyboard followed Allan playing “ Makin Whoopee” and “ Don’t Get Around Much Anymore”
A change now back to Piano with Allan Dadson playing “ By the Time I get to Phoenix” and “ You Don’t Send me Flowers any More”
To wind up the afternoon Dave Hallam and Rob Powell played a Duet of “ Streets of London”
