Creative Keyboard Club March 2011

  March 2011 Club Day

The weather today was rather pleasant for our club day with a nice little breeze coming through the hall.
Our arrival Music was played by Len Osbourne on Keyboard.
Well done Len, not easy to do with a lot of chatting going on.

Our first player for the afternoon was Katrina Lin on her accordion. She is a pupil of Jessica Chen’s. She is just so sweet and plays so well. We do look forward to seeing her progress.
Next came John Beales with “Can’t take that Away from Me” and “Wait till the Sun Shines Nellie” also on keyboard. Very nice and very much enjoyed thank you John.
Our own Marlene stepped up to the Piano and did a great job entertaining us all with “ Caravan” and “Can you feel the Love Tonight” from of course the Lion King.
Laurie Conder on his Roland Keyboard was next playing
“ My Happiness” and “ Distant Drums” . The latter came with a story of what the music was about. Most interesting and well played thank you Laurie.
Dorothy Waddell and Friends Julia and Bob Bissett entertained us with piano and songs. “Call Me” , Miss Jones” and another tune
“ Old Folks”
Last but not least, Dave and his latest Pupil Kate did a duet of
“ Saturday Night”. Hope we will see a lot more of you Kate!

John Bercich was our Guest Artist for the second half of the Afternoon, and his music was really enjoyed by all. He presented a very varied programme consisting of songs from Jazz, Rock and Roll to Polka and Swing. Thank you so much John . Look forward to a return performance next year!
