Our guests today were Denise (clavinova) and Brian Gunson (guitar). April 11 2021 Meeting

Marlene Forrest was the MC for the occasion and the arrival music was played on keyboard by Roy Steen. This was also our AGM, Chris Larkin is our new president and fees have increased slightly ... $5 per member and $8 per non-member per meeting. Our 30th Anniversary was today so a very special occasion for us (cake and all). First president Peter Torckler and his wife Joyce also attended.

Our special Guest today was Kane Steves who was also a very early club member. Kane played a korg PA1000 and displayed his own beautiful pink speakers. Kane played "Cavatina", "All I Ask of You", "To Love Somebody", "Amazing Grace", "After The Loving", "All of Me/Who's Sorry Now" medley, and "Desperado", some with vocals. An amazing afternoon. Thank you all.

March 2021 Meeting

Diana Dreaneen on keyboard with 'San Antonia Rose', 'Puppet On a String' and the theme from 'Love Story'
Dorothy Waddell and Patricia Chandler with piano duets 'Thunder and Lightning', 'Black and White Rag' and 'Bacio'
Guest vocalist Cassandra McCowan performed 'Don't Cry for me Argentina', 'Pretty Girl', 'Cabaret' and several others from musicals she has performed in. Cassandra left NZ seven years ago to perform in musical theatre and has toured world wide. In April she will perform here in "Jersey Boys".

Our guest for the second half was pianist and teacher Sandy Lynch who played several of her own compositions. One in particular was dedicated to Marlene for her many years of service to the club. An outstanding example of her talent was when she played 'Rustle of Spring' to everyone's delight.

December 2020 Meeting

Hugo Chou on clavinova with three classical pieces including 'Sonata in Cmaj' and 'Sonata in Bbmaj'

After the drawing of our many hamper raffles, a generous photographic offer from Dave Winslade (who also gave us Santa) and a festive afternoon tea our guest artiste Chris Larkin entertained on the new Genos. Chris gave us 'Yesterday', 'Danny Boy'. 'Ra Ra Rasputin', 'Girl from Ipanema', 'Blue Moon', ';Heart and Soul', 'All The Things You Are', music from 'Phantom of The Opera', 'Spanish Flea', 'I'll Survive', 'Climb Every Mountain' and ended with a great medley (as he always does) of  'Song of Praise', 'Rule Britannia', 'God Save The Queen', 'Waltzing Matilda', 'Road to Bangladah', 'Clip Go The Shears', 'America The Beautiful', 'Advance Australia Fare' and our own 'God Of Nations'. Thank you again Chris and many thanks to all our players today.
