Creative Keyboard Club September 2016 Meeting

Our MC was Marlene Forrest and the arrival music was played by Audrey Hendon on clavinova.
Our Program ...
Laurie Conder on his Rockin' Roland BK-9 keyboard with 'Quando, Quando' and 'Blame it On The Bossanova'
Pam Rea on keyboard with 'Way Down Yonder' and 'Tales of the Vienna Woods'
Barbara Powell on keyboard with 'Love Me With All Your Heart' and then duets with husband Rob on clavinova with 'Travellin' Man' and 'Sway'
Rob continued on keyboard with 'Hooray for Hollywood'
Laurie was back with 'Never On A Sunday'
Rob Powell was back with 'More Than Ever' on clavinova
Our Guest artist was Cheryl Tong on clavinova. Songs included 'Get Me to The Church on Time' (with audience participation), 'Londonderry Air', 'Welcome to Jurassic Park', 'Jazz Exercise No.3' and a Worship Medley. Cheryl was accompanied by son Justin Michael Ng on cello for 'Moon River', 'Moonlight Serenade' and 'Arwen's Vigil'. Cheryl's pupils (Alan Tung, Calum Yeo Guthrie, Corinne Luis) on keyboards and Justin joined in for the last item which was from 'Chorus Line'. Well done everyone, a most entertaining afternoon.

Creative Keyboard Club August 2016 Meeting

Noni Walker on clavinova with 'Deep Purple' and 'Unforgettable'
Roy Steen was back on keyboard with 'It's a Long Way to Tipperary', 'Anchors Away' and 'Amore'
Hana Tani on clavinova with 'Sonata in C Major' (Mozart) and 'Sonatina' (Kabalevsky)
Our guests today were the Accordion Orchestra who played as a group and also some solo performances. They played a variety of music including 'Swan Lake', 'The Can Can', and 'Bubbles'. Alexandra Reike played the 3 pieces she will perform at the World Champs in Russia in two weeks time. All the very best Alexandra we know you will do well!
